New for 2019

This winter we built a veranda roof for the top terrace overlooking the pool. (Photo below) This terrace is already gated for your children to be safe from the pool but half the area will now be covered.  There are cushioned chairs, leg rests and a sofa for cool shady reading, but plenty of room for an outdoor cot in which your baby can snooze without you having to worry about sunburn or moving parasols around.  In the unlucky event of rain you can still sit and read outside, or just gaze at the views, without getting wet.  There's plenty of room on the other half of the terrace which will remain uncovered - happy news for sunworshippers.

At Faro Airport there are the usual car hire companies and links to a few are given above.  If you're in a hurry, bear in mind the hire car firm recommended by your airline may be used by everyone else on your flight so there may be long queues at the desk. 

There are cash machines (Multibanco) at the airport.

EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD: The British Embassy urges travellers to obtain and bring a European Health Insurance card (EHIC).  It's a piece of plastic entitling the holder to all medically-necessary treatment during a temporary stay in Portugal.  Easy to get - check out www.ehic.org.uk and it costs nothing.

GOLFERS - you can hire golf clubs and most accessories on arrival at Faro Airport and the link to the website follows.
